Been very busy lately doing some work for LCE and looking for more work. I started this head model back in 2012 but never got around to finishing it due to Christmas parties, birthdays and other random stuff that comes along. I had been using Maya to model with hopes of conquering hair which I found challenging during my Uni days. I wish I had the 'hair cut and shave plugin' but I don't so I'll be using an old 'Paint effects' technique I looked up about a year ago.
This is where I left off.
I will post up images of the ear and add the eyes in. After that, I'll create the body. The head is modeled with polygons (no splines).

Kitchen Update 2
I've been busy looking for jobs and working on other projects so this has taken longer than I wanted it to. In these images I've just toned down the lighting and softened the shadows to give the kitchen a warm and cosy feel. Using physical sun and sky is a simple and quick way of doing natural lighting although I'm still learning and trying to improve on my lighting :)
If all goes well, the next post will be my last on this Kitchen. 2012 brings new things to do.

Kitchen Update
I was struggling with the lighting bit but I've managed to steer it in the right direction. I had a problem with the colour of the lights overwhelming the textures and making the overall models look flat. This is the progress so far.

London Riots -_-
I live in Croydon so these riots are pretty much down the road from me. This has mainly affected my transport and it seems unsafe to drive anywhere because I will get my car stolen :(

Continuing with Textures
Once I get the textures on, I find it easier to see what I want to add or change. The lights and shaders will have a huge affect on the out come of this.
